I’ve lost your present, can’t tell you
Can’t even remember when
I’ve lost your present
It’s so hard to say
Please do not be cross with me
Unintentionally
I’ve hurt you, I did not mean to
I was so proud and excited
I know you would have been too
I’ve lost your present, can’t tell you
Can’t even remember when
I’ve lost your present
And I feel so sad
Let’s forget it and comfort me
Unintentionally
I’ve hurt you, I did not mean to
Lyrics by Dorian Grégoire
Music by Dorian Grégoire, Jérémie Fatrez & Christophe Debrigode
New design, new format, welcome on the new official website of Common Fates... Please be patient, we are updating all informations in the new format...
Common Fates, born in 2004, is a classic rock band out of the south of Belgium. After years of hard work and intensive touring the band signed a record deal with Moonzoo Music. This label does not need any further introduction. Just let me point out that the label stands for quality and the love for the music. This release perfectly fits into the labels policy: giving new bands the opportunity to release their debut album in the best possible conditions. The music of Common Fates sounds very American. Lots of songs have this ‘grunge’ touch and the voice of Dorian Gregoire sounds a lot like Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder. Over the top? Not at all. Just listen for yourself. All songs are top quality tunes in the best Creed or Staind tradition. The production is, as always, very professional and sparkling. The arrangements are layered and add that little extra to the epic tunes. The album is packed with singles and I will eat my heart out if not one of them makes it into the alternative charts. Studio Brussels, what are you waiting for? It is impossible to pick out one song that stands above the rest, as the whole album contains a bunch of top quality songs. All were written in the best grunge tradition by vocalist Dorian Gregoire. What a voice! This is without any doubt the best album that came out of this little country for, let’s say, the last 5 years. In its genre ‘Words Unspoken’ by Common fates is an instant classic. If there is still some space left next to your Pearl Jam, Staind or Creed records now is the time to fill it with a top class album. ‘Words Unspoken’ is highly recommended. For those about to grunge, we salute you!
